the racecar track even had a metal diecast hotwheel car rounding out the brick built vehicles. It was a just a big set, covered in dust, with a few loud soundboards playing. The room with famous Kansas landmarks was ok, but almost nothing worked. There was a lego dots station with ZERO light - you had to build pinned to a dark wall. the "4D" theater only had 1-2.5 dimensions in play and the show they ran with was a VERY awkward exploration of what it would be like to get tricked into going to a bad legoland experience, all the while failing to realize that WE were in a bad knock-off legoland experience.Įvery building station was stocked with the most basic and half broken/bent bricks. They want to upcharge you for a simple VR experiance. The staff were trying their best, but their best couldn't ever be good enough in light of the extremely limited scope and magic of the space. Our 6 and 9 year old were getting board within an hour. Still, it was a great way for the family to spend a few hours and we would have loved to go through the entire thing a second time if we'd had the time! Will definitely take the kids again sometime!Įasily the worst ratio of fun and cost of anything we did on our KS weekend. Other drawbacks were that it was REALLY crowded and busy and the food court didn't have a lot to offer - we left to go have lunch. The kids really liked the play area but the drawback there was that it's enclosed to where you couldn't really keep an eye on them. Lost my husband for a little while as he got distracted building his own car, so I'd definitely say it was fun for all ages! They seemed to have a lot to do, from a couple of rides to a movie to building stations to seeing some pretty impressive Lego builds. My four-year-old twins especially loved the part where you could build and race Lego cars on the tracks and my six-year-old loved the rides most of all. My group consisted of myself, my husband, our three children (ages 6 and 4) and my parents, and we had a stellar time! All three of our boys had such a blast.
